Brief introductionThe Romanian Journal of Economic History (RJEH) is an interdisciplinary scientific journal, focusing on economic and social history. The journal is published in the Open Access regime and does not charge any publication fees. Its main objective is to fill an existing gap in the Romanian historiographical landscape by providing the national research community with a specialised scholarly platform for fruitful intellectual dialogue. The journal welcomes original articles, book reviews, and reviews on various aspects of economic and social history from the Middle Ages to the present.
The Romanian Journal of Economic History is the result of a joint initiative of the Institute of History "George Baritiu" in Cluj-Napoca and the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities in Sibiu. It is published once a year, usually in December, both in printed and electronic form. In order to make the knowledge available to a wider public, the archive of the journal is freely accessible on the RJEH website. Most of the articles are written in Romanian, but the Editorial Board can also consider scientific articles in English, French or German.
