The editorial board will take all necessary steps to protect the author’s copyright in accordance with current regulations. It is the author’s responsibility to obtain permission to reproduce illustrations, maps, tables, etc., from other publications or electronic sources.

By accepting publication in Romanian Journal of Economic History, the author transfers the following rights to the journal:

• the right to publish, republish, transmit, sell, and distribute the full or partial content of the work in both digital and printed editions of the journal;
• the right to store copies of the work in the journal’s archives (electronic or printed), as well as in archives of third parties authorized by the journal.

Proper citation and mention of the original publication details in Romanian Journal of Economic History are required in the following cases, should the author decide to:

• reproduce, transmit, or disseminate the work in whole or in part;
• expand the work into a book format or incorporate it entirely or partially into a compilation of studies authored by the writer;
• include the work in whole or in part in a thesis or dissertation;
• translate the work and publish it elsewhere;
• present and disseminate copies of the work at professional meetings or scientific events.

Being the author of a work published in the journal entails the exclusive guarantee of certain usage rights, as follows:

• the right to make printed or electronic copies of the work for personal or professional use;
• the right to distribute printed or electronic copies of the work for the personal or professional use of colleagues within the research team.

Regarding licensing, the journal refers to the Creative Commons Attribution-Non Commercial-No Derivs 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) license, which allows downloading and redistribution of materials with proper attribution and without modifications.

Fees

The editorial board does not charge any submission, processing, or publication fees.

The “George Barițiu” Institute of History in Cluj-Napoca of the Romanian Academy and the Institute for Socio-Human Research in Sibiu provide free access to all materials included in the Romanian Journal of Economic History through their dedicated pages, in order to support and encourage the dissemination of research results.

With the exception of the electronic archive available on this website, the complete collection of the Romanian Journal of Economic History can be found in printed format in the legal deposit collections of the National Library of Romania and in all libraries entitled to legal deposit.
