Manuscript Submission
Manuscripts can be submitted online through the Article Submission Portal (or by clicking here) or via the journal’s email address at contact@rriejournal.ro each year by August 31. The Romanian Journal of Economic History does not accept submissions that have been previously published, are now under consideration for publication, or are undergoing peer review elsewhere. Electronic submission is particularly encouraged. The manuscript must represent the final version intended for publication. It must be submitted to the editorial office together with the Copyright Agreement (see below or download here), which must be completed, signed, and sent to the editorial office’s email address.
The manuscript for a study should typically consist of 15 pages (7,000–10,000 words) but must not exceed 20 pages, formatted on A4 paper with 2.5 cm margins. The document must adhere to the orthographic conventions of the publication’s language, use Microsoft Word in Times New Roman font, size 12 pt, with 1.5 line spacing. All tables and figures (inserted as objects) must have titles and be sequentially numbered (cited in the text as “Table x” or “Figure x”). The journal follows the referencing standard established by the Romanian Academy.
